1980 YAMAHA IT 425 A WILD BLUE WONDER.
A light-weight, hundred mile an hour big-bore competition bike, but boring it ain’t…Yamaha’s one-year only model for enduro racing based on the mighty YZ400. PRESERVATION THAT SNAP, CRACKLES AND POPS IN ALL THE RIGHT WAYS: Overall, this bike never got beat up or restored, and never lost it’s soul… One owner,
impressive California example Forty year garaged, arid dry climate of Lake Elsinore Shows extremely low hours, like new, notable originality Complete, with excellent factory finishes and noticeable boot scuffing on the kickstart side No rust, corrosion, abuse or neglect Unrestored, recently detailed and serviced: New Dunlops in place of dry-rotted IRCs, handlebars, smaller gas tank and compact silencer currently installed Engine cases never split, idles sharp, runs fast and clean Perfect snick shifts Minor cosmetic modifications, minimal, reversible Includes all original parts, padded and boxed Sold on current Bill of Sale with original CA registration MATCHING ENGINE AND FRAME: VIN 3R8001215,
frame headstock and rear engine case Originally registered January 20, 1980 / San Bernardino No rips, tears or crashes, bends, breaks or leaks, especially no surprises.
This bike is a real gem and a teary-eyed blast to idle and occasionally rip for a guaranteed ear-to-ear grin. THE IMPORTANT DETAILS ARE IN THE DELICATE BITS. Pretty damn original. Every fastener shows no corrosion, the skid plate not hammered and the handlebar grip ends perfect. Plastics uncracked, not faded. Never taken apart. Every thing in between is really, really nice, excellent for any dirt bike. This one got parked early and escaped being ridden to death. The only casualties from sitting and aging were dry-rotted
IRC tires and the common expansion hairline crack in the fuel tank, since repaired, slightly a sightly blem, but holding up and holding fuel!
A smaller IT175 tank from Clarke Plastics with aluminum tank badges, not blistering stickers, is installed now with the original boxed for preservation and for keeps. Just chase down a new fork-mounted speedo cable tie and a period tool kit missing from the rear bag for showroom presentation. IN THE MIDDLE OF SPRING CLEANING, AND IT’S TIME TO SAY GOOD-BUY. Good manners, polite exchange and sheer enthusiasm welcome to this retired cop, mechanic and school teacher. Propose a reasonable plan, drop me a line over details, 267.236.
xyz X. All original parts (including tank, silencer) and paperwork pictured are included as well as any goodwill spares stashed along the way minutes outside Philadelphia. Sold on a Bill of Sale and a firm congratulatory handshake for good luck holding on!

2022 HONDA CT 125 VIN MLHJA5551N5104068 Brand new.
Seventeen miles ODO. Minutes outside Philadelphia. INSTANT FUN, FREEDOM AND THRILLS? MAKE MINE A DOUBLE. A new vintage, pint-sized Honda seductive in Glowing Red always inspires spring fever. Surely, anyone could live life without one of these, but why would you want to? So I grabbed two. And
only need one. Sometimes, two much of a good thing is still, a good thing. I’M IN THE MIDDLE OF SPRING CLEANING, AND IT’S TIME TO SAY GOOD-BUY. No surprises, no nonsense. No dings, dents, drops or dumb stunts. Seventeen miles ODO, recently discontinued Glowing Red with only a decal swap, warranty included along with books, keys and tool kit as delivered… plus clear title and an extra goodwill tire set.
Make a respectable offer and maybe save yourself a little from the current opportunistic, heavy-handed dealer freight/set-up charges and ride it into a summer of fun for the next fifty years. Good manners, polite exchange and sheer enthusiasm welcome to this retired cop, mechanic and school
teacher. Propose a reasonable plan, drop me a line over details. 267.236. xyz X. Fly and ride, or I’ll drop it in the mail, sent no-nonsense. PS: GOOD THINGS STILL HAPPEN ON A HONDA.
A tank of a dirt bike. A camper’s mule to scout beyond. An RV companion or a trusted daily commuter. A modern Honda for exploring the developing, unpaved world of dirt and gravel or back alleys and postal routes from Australia to Thailand to N. Y. C. Maybe it’s pure nostalgia, or the thoughtful practicality and versatility, even the engineered ruggedness. A loyal Honda can do everything, and ask for nothing. It’s all of that, but especially just plain fun. And there’s nothing plain about all the adventures
had on a hundred miles to the gallon, over a lifetime. Pure joy.
Cheap as chips, like shoes, if they feel good, buy two. How about one extra to share. Except our wanderlust family is scattering wildly in different directions in post-lockdown euphoria now and we’ll not need an extra Honda at the cabin sitting along the trusty generators and mothballed cans of Dinty Moore beef stew. More than a Vespa, less than a truckload of troubles. So go for a lazy happy hour pub crawl, let your grandmother give it a go in the living room or putter the back roads into town grinning of bugs… just get it out of my garage, and go go go get lost, doing all of it, and more. It’s ready to go, without any issue.
You never really own these crazy little things, you just share them among friends… You can still meet the nicest people over a Honda. /watch? v=1ct KJkj Lvxs
