In 1947 with a used Studebaker pickup and $1500 worth of tires purchased on credit, T.O. Haas opens his first store in Lincoln, Nebraska. By sub-letting part of the building to two other business owners and sharing the utilities, T.O. Haas Tire & Auto was operating in the black by the end of the first month of business. Using the same sound business philosophy T.O. Haas Tire & Auto has grown to 27 stores in three states to become one of the premier tire and automotive service facilities in the midwest.
