With just 1,323 miles on the odometer, this 83’ Monte Carlo SS is one of the lowest mile examples available on the market today. The Monte Carlo SS was available in two colors in 1983, white or dark blue. Visually setting it apart from a base

Monte Carlo are the SS decals on the door, 15 X 7 mag wheels, and a subtle trunk spoiler. The interior featured a split bench seat (with ‘SS’ embroidered in the head rest) and a column shift. The F41 firm ride handling package was standard on the SS as well.

Power came from a 305 HO V8 engine with an aluminum intake, Corvette L81 camshaft, and a Rochester Mod Quadrajet four-barrel carburetor. A TH350, 3-speed automatic transmission, transferred the 165 horses to the 10-bolt rear end and 3.42 gears. Hooker's Headers and an Edelbrock aluminum intake were added along it's journey to improve performance. Clean title! This particular 1983 Monte Carlo SS is a true survivor, featuring

History: An American dream, three young men out of college in the early sixties decided to build a car with Italian hand hammered

steel body and leather interior with an American drivetrain. These three men, Milt Brown, Ron Plescia, and New't Davis of Oakland California persuaded Carrozzeria Intermeccanica of Italy to take three Buick Skylark rolling chassis, which were then modified and sent to Italy for the bodywork.

The company, Apollo Motors of Oakland, California, had no money for marketing and only a single dealer in Northern California. The cars, however, were actually pretty good, being favorably compared to Aston Martins and Ferraris in contemporary road tests. Road and Track tests: 0-60 in 7 seconds, top speed 160 mph.

In 1979 Pontiac released this very special performance car to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of the first Trans Am that rolled off the assembly line in 1969.

This was a limited production run of only 7,500 Trans Ams. Delivered from the factory as fully loaded Trans Ams, the only options that were available on the 10th Anniversary Trans Am

were the powertrain options. This terrific Anniversary example is equipped with a replacement Oldsmobile 403 paired to a 4-speed manual transmission and runs great. Standard on the 10th Anniversary is the two-tone silver and charcoal paint. This paint scheme is accented by a special 5-color hood-bird which wings extended over the hood and onto the side fenders.

All 10th Anniversary cars were fully equipped with the WS6 handling package, custom silver interior with shag carpet and the Firebird emblem embroidered in the door panels and also in the rear seat back. In addition, the interior is trimmed with the unique Engine-Turned dash bezel, which for this model has red illuminated gauges

instead of the normal white. Also standard on all 10th Anniversary Trans Ams are power windows, power locks, air conditioning, power trunk release. in sort, pretty much every option available at the time!
