This car has gone 11.50 at 2600 feet altitude.

It has a 401 ci V-8 with turbo 400 transmission nice gauges 9" Ford rear end with 410 gears, line lock, roll bar, race seats. This car is way overtired for only 410 gears with a smaller tire I am sure it would go 5tenths quicker. Paint is fair will not take much to do a little straightening and paint. Sounds great runs and drives the same.

1940 FORD COUPE 2 Door Original Condition Rare Barn Find Great and Solid The body appears to have one repaint and is in excellent condition for its age.

The pictures show close ups of any defects or rust and they are minimal. Solid body top to bottom and the frame is great as well. The flathead v8 engine runs EXCELLENT and strong. The previous

owner said it was rebuilt in the late 70's and the car was never driven. I drove the car in my driveway (1/8 mile)and the trans and clutch work as they should. Car has a new gas tank and new starter. The brakes do not work but the emergency brake does. Brake lines look to have been redone at one time.

Has not been on the road for many years so it is not being sold as a road worthy vehicle. Last inspection was 1972. Keep it the way it is, restore, or hot rod it.either way there is not many still alive like this one.

In 1971 there was a total of 21,801 Corvettes

produced. Out of those 14,680 were sport coupes, 1,949 had the LT1 option, and 1,591 were painted in Steel Cities Gray. This is in fact a very limited production combination presented in this car.

The frame and birdcage are in excellent shape. Car runs and drives excellent.

Beautifully restored car.

Paint stripped to bare metal, redone in correct Bronze Mist Metallic. New Vinyl top, interior totally redone, using correct materials, leather inserts in the seats. All chrome on the car redone, bumpers, interior and exterior trim. Drivetrain not cosmetically restored, but all clean and neat. Transmission overhauled,

engine runs great. Many suspension, brake and steering parts replaced. A/C updated to 134a and blows nice and cold. All power accessories work, including windows, driver's seat, antenna, AM radio had FM added, but you can't see it, front and rear speakers.

Extra gauges added at lower left of dash for water temp and oil pressure (seemed like a good idea on a 53 year old car), but all dash lights and gauges work. Tilt wheel, correct factory floor mats and trunk mat, dealer accessory tissue dispenser and fuel door trim. Trunk redone using correct fabric. Windshield replaced, so no pits. Underside is original, some surface rust as expected, but no issues. Dual exhaust all in great shape.

Car starts right up and drives great, transmission shifts are perfect, runs at 180 degrees, unless it is really hot out, then maybe 190-200. A few scratches to the paint since it was done, but overall car is magnificent.

I doubt there is a better one, so if you want beautiful Electra coupe that needs nothing except to be driven, this is the car.
