1967 American Motors Ambassador DPL convertible.
- ~1260 of this body style produced. ~10-12 known to exist in any kind of restored condition- I'm the third owner. I bought it about 15 years ago and embarked upon its restoration at that time as described below using NOS parts and parts from other Ambassadors- 343 V8 4bbl - engine was restored
by previous owner - probably less than 2k miles on the rebuild- auto trans, pwr steering, pwr brakes, electric windows, air conditioning- I had the trans rebuilt - less than a few hundred miles on the rebuild- overall runs strong- original color was Barbados Blue Metallic.
I was the first to do a repaint- exterior was taken down to bare metal, there was no bondo, small rust areas around the wheel wells cut out and metal welded back in. Primed and painted original Barbados Blue Metallic with original Dulux pant system- Engine repainted with original factory colors- all chrome pieces including bumpers were re-chromed. - new convertible top custom made using the old top as pattern. Top raise
and lower equipment and hardware original and in working condition- interior re-upholstered with original color vinyl custom stamped from the original molds (I was lucky enough to find these!
). Extra roll of vinyl since I had to buy minimum lot- carpet replaced with NOS that I found in California- dash sent to California for rrestoration using molds patterned after the originals- door panels restored in Oregon using template patterned after the original- steering wheel restored, clock rebuilt, radio replaced- all glass is original- new rubber for door and openings all around (missing rubber on driver side A frame)- Replaced tires with original style Firestone red-line bias ply tires.
Known Issues: - the car has been sitting in the garage under cover for the whole time I've owned it, except for short Sunday drives.
It isn't showing any rust; but needs some TLC- air conditioning needs filter dryer and charge. The compressor and system was working but charge was lost when engine was being repainted. - electric windows need manual help going up and down. Motors need rebuilt- electrical system was 100% functional; but now none of the dash instruments work. I haven't had a chance to look at it yet. I don't expect it could be much. - gas talk has developed what seems to be pinhole leak in two places. Leaks are very small (not leaving puddle) but tank will likely need to be lowered to determine the problem and fix.
- the ethanol in today's gas took the diaphragm out of the original engine mounted fuel pump. The fuel pump was replaced with unit that was not NOS and did not have the built in filter. A third party filter was fitted but does not look professional and certainly is not consistent with the all original nature of the vehicle. This all needs to be replaced with an NOS pump- even when all electrics were working, the horn was intermittent. - the Firestone red lines have been on the vehicle for over ten years. They don't look dry rotted and I've recently driven on them; but it would be prudent to put on new tires- the power brakes are very grabby and touchy.
I suspect this is from the extended garaging and intermittent use and can easily be corrected. - the driver side mirror seems not to have been replaced on the body in the correct position after the re-paint, since it can't seem to be aimed properly. The mirror should be removed and repositioned in the appropriate place. I have a bunch of parts including a carburetor, radiator, roll of vinyl, radio etc I have all the manuals and marketing material, and all the receipts from the restoration work that I did.

I purchased this beauty from a very nice lady whose husband who was nearing the final stages of a respectable driver quality restoration.
Sadly, Joe died before the restoration was complete. Joe bought this Cadillac in 1960 at 12,000 miles and enjoyed it up until his death in 1999. The car was always parked in a dry garage. The odometer now
reads 1889 miles. Joe's wife told me the odometer has gone around once. As you can see in the pictures, the convertible top/rear glass are in " as new" condition, as well is the interior. Joe had the top and interior replaced just prior to his death.
The windshields are in very nice condition and the door glass is in very nice condition with no cracks or chips. The wing window tracts and glass are new in a box and needs to be installed. The side windows and trays are included and will need to be installed. Basically, the only thing the car is missing is the trunk release handle and a few nicknacks here and there. The car appears to have had one re-paint in the mid 90's. It is
very respectable looking even close up. I get thumbs up and doubletakes everywhere that I go. The chrome and brightwork are also in very nice condition. I would give the chrome a solid 9.5 with 10 being as new!
Last week I tuned it up with new plugs and wire and installed a new battery. The headlights, tailights, brakelights, turn signals, wipers, horn, dash lights, high beam indicator and cigarette lighter all work! The fuel, temperature, ammeter and oil pressure gauges all work too! The clock and radio do not work. The generator charges as it should and the oil pressure gauge indicated 20 psi at idle and above 30 psi at high idle after the engine is warmed up. I also flushed the radiator.
The engine is an OHV 331 CI and was new for '49. It has no noticable leaks and hits on all 8 cylinders but sometimes pops through the carbuerator under acceleration.
Weak intake spring? The good news is that the more I run the engine, the less it pops! Hopefully it will go away! The transmission is a Hydromatic 4 speed an shifts fine as it should. The brakes work as they should with a firm pedal and smooth and true stops. The power top motor and hydraulic system are operating but for some reason the top wil only lift about half way then it won't go any farther so for the time being until i figure it out, I just put it up and down manually. The car is very solid and very straight with no dents and I haven't noticed any rust other than some light surface rust and a small repair on the drivers side floor where the heater core had leaked at some point.
Also included in the sale are Coker wide whitewall tires.

This is a beautiful, unmolested 1966 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible in great condition inside and out.
I'm listing this for a friend and this car has been pampered all its life and it shows! It is a 108K original mile, 3- owner car that is all original except for only one repaint. It was repainted once in gorgeous Sapphire Blue with an all original
dark blue leather interior which makes one very beautiful and rare color combination. It recently came out of a huge classic car museum in Nevada where it was on display for over 20 years. The car retains all its original sheet metal and is solid as rock.
The all original interior in it looks amazing for it âs age with only a few minor seams splitting on the front seat. It is very nicely equipped and the best part is that almost everything works. This is one of only 2,250 Eldorado convertibles built! This is a rare and desirable car in great original condition. It's the ultimate cruiser and it gets a tremendous amount of attention. This Blue beauty is a rolling testament to the glitz,
glamour, innovation, and prosperity of the 1960âs. Nothing beats the fun of driving a '66 Cadillac Convertible! It's loaded with the following equipment:429ci V-8 " Numbers Matching" Automatic transmission Power Seat Original AM-FM Radio Factory Air Conditioning (Blows Ice Cold)Cruise Control Tilt/Telescopic Steering Column Automatic Dimming Lights Power Antenna White Wall Tires Power Windows (the wing windows need a little help)The List goes on and on.This Beautiful 1966 Cadillac convertible has been meticulously cared for since day one.
Believe it or not, all the chrome and trim on this car and is completely original and in very good condition. This car was kept inside
and treated as a true Collector Car should be! The car is completely rust free and solid as a rock.
It is super straight down the sides. This Cadillac again only has 108k Original miles. All the chrome and trim on the dash is bright and clean as new. The dash pad is excellent but the steering wheel has a few small cracks. The convertible top is like new, with the rear glass window seal needing a little attention. Even the original blue paint on the top frame is in excellent shape. Inside the trunk is all original with its original trunk material and spare. Mechanically, the engine and transmission run flawlessly! The vacuum controlled A/C system was just gone through and restored.
This Cadillac drives with no issues at all! The original numbers matching motor provides great power to move this caddy along. There is a small exhaust leak that just started from one of the air tubes that attach to the driver âs manifold. This is a minor fix. The car fires right up and runs as it was new. Driving down the road there are no squeaks or rattles and that's wonderful coming from a 50 year old car. It just went through the whole brake and fuel system and a complete tune up. The engine compartment is all stock and original. The car is an absolute pleasure to drive.
There has been a digital radio installed in the center glove box to take over the tunes! Fire her up and she's ready to cruise. All and all, this 1966 Cadillac is one of the most sought after classic Cadillacs on the market today! With Top Notch Quality and one of the highest mechanical Standards this car makes a wonderful choice. What a rare opportunity such a rare and original car. We even have all the original owners â manuals.

My personal weekend car.
runs great, very reliable, I would drive it cross country. Quite powerful with the 4BBL carb. Good motor and transmission, was rebuilt prior to my ownership. New paint last year with original color interior and exterior. Very nice and shinny with some small flaws and scratches. New brakes. Power top. Some stain on the white convertible top. Power steering added two years ago for more comfort. No rust. Not a show car, but a nice car overall.

1998 Mercedes 560SL Convertible This is a beautiful example of the Mercedes 560SL.
It is Smoke Silver Metallic in color with light beige factory leather interior. The factory hard top is in perfect condition with functionality of the rear defrost for those cold southern California mornings, where it has spent its entire life having been purchased
new at Mercedes Benz Pacific Beach in San Diego. It still lives in San Diego and shows like its never seen more than a little bit of rain in its 27 years. All body panels are straight and paint is in very good condition. It has new Michelin Defender tires that provide a quiet confident ride and will last the new owner a good long time into the future.
Under the hood the dried cracking sound deadening has been removed and replaced with new thick factory replacement pad, making it look very nice and muting the large V-8 that moves this thing along at modern speeds. It is equipped with the factory Becker Grand Prix cassette deck. The radio works great but I currently don't have a cassette
to try in this vintage deck. The interior is in nice working order with the seats remaining relatively supple having only a few small wear spots on the drivers seat bolster and seatback.
The steering wheel is clean and in very good condition. The dash is crack free showing little to no wear. The air conditioning blows cold. The wood in the center console is in good condition however does show some light wear. The power windows work perfectly with new window rubber channels on the hard top as well as new rubber A-pillar channel on passenger side. The hard top also has a new rubber gasket where it rides on the rear deck, providing a quiet ride and confidence for those quick trips through
the car wash. The factory soft top will need replacing in the future as it is displaying some brittleness and a seam rip in one window, however functions all the same.
The trunk is lined with the factory original carpeting and retains the factory tool kit as well as spare tire and alloy wheel. The car has two top handle wrenches and has had the rubber / plastic windshield header lock bushings replaced for additional water tightness. The engine pulls strong with a nice exhaust note and has a fresh California smog as of Dec 2015. The car accelerates nicely to as fast as you dare to take it and handles beautifully with a tight precise steering rack rarely seen or felt on todays cars.
It has new bilstein shocks and a totally sorted suspension. The brakes have been inspected and have plenty of pad and rotor life to make future spirited driving safe. It stops promptly without incident and belies the weight and build quality of these truly classic Mercedes Coupe Convertibles. The transmission shifts positively and does not appear to hunt for gears. When moving from park to drive or reverse it is quiet and smooth.

1996 to 997 wide body conversion car to go!
Runs and drives like a dream! cool looking and excellent driving Porshe 911 (996 based) Convertible. A very well kept car with low miles under 56900! If you looking at these 996s, I dont need to say more. Since I have to spend more than half of time stay overseas every year and I have more than 7 toys
here with me, rather just seating there, I decided to let it go. Everything works like it should, Runs and drives excellent. Brakes straight and true, accelerates verywell, handles and turns solid. It has lots of power and transmission shifts in perfect synchronicity to your demands.
No rusts on body, fading or cracks inside or on the dash, no lights on, no any kind of leaks! Runs very strong with LOW LOW LOW milage and looks awesome.I got too many thing to list as a project car to made it like this today.

All gaps are perfect, doors open and close extremely nice and solid, all windows operate perfectly. Beautiful glass, interior, runs and drives flawlessly with less than 1,000 miles on professionally rebuilt engine, sounds very nice.
