1954 MG TF 1500 GENERAL DESCRIPTION VIN: HDA462599 Car was purchased in 1956 from the original owner.
It has remained in the same family since. In the mid 1970�s the car was fitted with a Volvo B18 engine and transmission from a 1967 Volvo P1800, and an MGA rear axle. Minor modifications inside the engine compartment were required. The car
was originally black with red upholstery and trim; it was overpainted once, dark green. The car is partially dismantled. Body panels, except the seat tub, have been removed. See attached photographs for current condition, and condition prior to dismantling.
Many photographs were taken during the dismantling, showing each step. Most parts are labelled, on the car or as stored. Many new parts have been purchased; see attached list. Copies of invoices are available on request. The car has always been kept inside. Minor surface rust on the chassis. There are a few small dents and scrapes on the body parts. Chrome is generally good, oxidation but no pitting. No wood rot. Tonneau cover, top
must be replaced. Side screens are original. Wire wheels are original. Radiator has been shop cleaned and gas tank cleaned and re-coated. Volvo SU carburetors have been re-built.

Car was purchased used in a partially built non-running condition in 1989.
All body and suspension parts were taken apart and put together correctly. This included the doors, hood, trunk lid, brakes, rear end and suspension components. Drivetrain/Transmission Engine s a 427 FE Top Oiler. Engine was purchased from Ford Power Parts in Norwalk,
California in the early 1990's. Engine was rebuilt at that time to stock specifications. Stock heads, crankshaft, pistons and rods. The camshaft is an Iskendarian 256 hydraulic cam. Compression is 10.1. Intake is an original Ford Sidewinder high rise manifold with a Holley 780 CFM 4 barrel carburetor.
An electric digital thermal kit assures water temperature does not reach past desired temperatures.. A manual override control is installed. Transmission is a Ford Top Loader 4 speed with a Hurst Comp4tition shifter. Transmission has been rebuilt. Clutch assembly is by Mc Cloud with a Mc Cleod hydraulic throw out bearing. Rear end is a 9" Ford with 3.70.1 gears. Power disc brakes all
around. Steering is a non power rack and pinion. Wheels are the original wheels from L. A. Exotics that are simulated knock off wheels. The outside rim and knock offs are chrome/polished aluminum.
Body -When the body was prepared, we did a lot of blocking and sanding to assure a mirror like finish. Paint is a " Ferrari Red" acrylic enamel. Car has not been involved in any accidents or repainted. Interior gauges are VDO. Seats are covered in vinyl and interior is carpeted with insulation for noise and heat suppression. Safety belts are Deist 4 point harnesses. Trunk area - The battery is located in the trunk area along with a 16 gallon gas tank which sits below the trunk. There are no windshield wipers or top as car is not driven in the rain.

A five-digit mechanical odometer tracks accrued mileage, although true mileage on the chassis is unknown. The reportedly A-code 289cid high-performance V8 was upgraded with.040-oversized pistons during a head rebuild. Equipment includes an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold,
an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, a Duraspark ignition system, an electric fan, an aluminum radiator, and a new Interstate battery.
Recent maintenance included replacement of the clutch, pressure plate, drive shaft spline, and universal joints in 2022. Power is fed to the rear wheels via a console-shifted Toploader four-speed manual transmission and a 3.55-ratio rear end. Stopping assistance comes from a Leeds power brakes kit featuring discs up front, drums in the rear, and dual master cylinders. The lowered stance comes from Shelby equipment up front and a five-leaf spring setup in the rear. The sale includes a set of factory 14-inch styled steel wheels with 215-width BFGoodrich tires.
